Blog 31 Montreal Children’s Hospital Instructional Video

Hi all,

Our friends at the MUHC asked us to produce an instructional video demonstrating 2 diagnostic tests performed by the ENT department. The goal of the videos was to educate and bring reassurance to both parents and children, in preparation of undergoing these specific tests. Fear and hesitation can often arise when children are unaware of the actual sequence of events during such a test. So we chose to capture the various stages of the tests and to add a little comical element as well. To do this, we chose several images of “Shilvi”, the MCH’s mascot, and used her as the narrator throughout the videos. We created animations with her character to give life to the narration. We also created both French and English versions of these Instructional videos, which have proven to be extremely effective, entertaining and informative. The ENT department is thrilled and eager to put these videos to work and help bring solace to their patients. We’re so glad we could help out! 🙂
